i posted before that i installed an r1 tach into my 92 dx hatch and in the process my gauge cluster lights and climate control lights stopped working. No blown fuses, one person said it might be an UNDER DASH RELAY? how do i know its that and how can i fix it. also one person said that it could be the dimmer control? could it be my dimmer switch? it worked before, should i buy a new dimmer switch and try it? my parking lights and everything else work fine just no gauge cluster and climate control lights. What should i check and how?

 

it could be your dimmer switch, I dont see why theyd stock working light that. I know its dumb, but are you sure you didnt accidently hit the dimmer dial and accidently turn them off? I could see how this could semi-easily be done... Sorry that its such a dumb suggestion, but it could happen.

 

try tapping the dimmer switch and see if the lights go on, i had the same problem and the switch was bad. I ended up getting a new one and problem solved.

 

My car did the same thing once, and I swapped out the dimmer switch and it works just fine now. If you have friend with a Civic borrow theirs just to see if it works.

 

Yep, same deal with mine. They were flickering it was the dimmer switch and I went through honda to get it. DON'T do that. At **** on cost
