Default IACV.. can you adjust??

I just got my intake parts back together & I got the idle set back down to around 900rpms (as low as I can get it via trottle body screw).. so I looked at the IACV & noticed a hex key hole (I think it's a hex key.. it's 5 sided).. does anyone know if I can adjust the idle that way??

No, the only way to manually adjust idle is the screw on the throttle body. Did you unplug the IACV before adjusting the screw?

when i unplug the iacv the idle is supposed to drop to 450 or so when the car is warmed up.. but it only drops to normal idle ~750 when i unplug it.. and thats with the tb screw tightened all the way.. when i plug the iacv back in my idle is back up to 900-1000

Did you get gaskets when you took your intake manifold apart? You can use the old ones, but they are prone to leak. Also if you did change them, I have seen a lot of people leave a small sliver of old gasket on there... that will also cause a leak.

Throttle body gasket too, make sure you change that one if you have taken it off

maybe your fast idle thermovalve isn't closing all the way.

what did you do to the intake system, that might help us figure it out.

i mean the diaphragm inside it, it could be not closing all the way.

took off iacv, cleaned it, took off tb to get the fitv off, clean both of them and tightened the fitv. put new tb gasket on and got everything back together.

by the way thats not a hex screw, and has nothing to do with adjusting idle.
