Chassis Flex While on Jack Stands
So, I've got the car up on stands for the first time in my new garage. It is an old house with an old garage - so the floor is not perfectly level, but it is not unsafe. I noticed today after work that the doors are not opening and closing like they should because the chassis is flexing. Is this something that I should worry about and get the car off the stands ASAP, or will it be fine left up there for a few more days? Don't want any permanent damage...
can you level out the car with some shims under the jackstands?
I have a perfectly flat garage floor and I have had my car up for weeks at a time without any issues on the doors or other.

The ITR chassis is ultra-rigid, but it's not abnormal for the doors to bind a little if you jack the car in a weird way. You should always jack it up in an equal and level way if possible.
Yes, I agree that a perfectly flat surface is preferred - but I've got what I've got for now. Like I said it is not unsafe, but it is not level. The thing is it is not jsut a slope - it is irregular.
I know the car is flexing abnormally because of the doors. My question is still this: will the car being up on stands like this for a few days cause any problems and will it all be back to normal after I bring it back down?

get a nice rollcage, that thing should sit flat with just 3 jack stands
on a side note: my street car has body flex on the stands as well, but its nothing ive evered been concerned about.

****. another variable I never really thought about..... My garage has a crack, and is about an inch unlevel. But, i........... Well the car is fine after I lower it.

Same here, same with with my old car also (98 Prelude). I think there is a thread somewhere where Yack was showing how the EP3 chassis was so stiff he didnt have those issues with doors closing funny etc. Somewhere.

Odd thing - I can get three corners off the ground from one jacking point in my '83 wagon. Doors all open/close fine

I would get that thing off the jackstands. The car will creak everytime you go up a sloped drive way from now on. Once chassis flexes, it'll start to creak. Ask me how I know. My old R did that. It bugged the crap out of me.

But driving it hard or going around turns make the chassis flex... So then all of us are doomed for creaking noises

Hehe my car does that w/ 4-point. My parents garage floor is a bit irregular and the car will sit on three jackstands w/ about a 1/2" between it and #4
