Light weight or heavy weight rims?

Light weight or heavy weight rims?
I got some 15 inch rims that weigh 17 pounds. Now what I want to know is, would i be better off with some 16 inch rims that weigh 11 pounds, if i were at the strip? And would the heavier rim stick better? thx

i would go with the 16's if its for street tires you'll lose 6 pounds of rotating mass per wheel less horsepower to turn the wheels that's just my opinion.

but the weight is further away from the center of the rim. Like swinging a weight in a really wide circle or a really close circle.
