Today my bro started on my EK. Should be a 3 day process. He's in school learning how to paint. He's already pretty bad-a$$ so he gets to work on my new $hit. Won't cost me much either
Everything exluding the OEM wing will be painted Milano red. I decided the canards are coming off, OEM headlights will be here Wednesday and will be getting the DIY CTR treatment. Not sure if I am going to paint the fog lens yellow or just get yellow bulbs. Probably going to remove the Eibach Sportlines and go with Omnipower coilovers since the drop is lacking.
Day 1:
Today was prep work. The front lip was sanded down on the 2000 conversion I picked up last week. Had plenty of cuts and chips in the lip:

Dent in the new hood being taking care of:

The car had about 4 rust chips on various parts of the exterior:

Those were quickly taking care of along with about 12 dings:

Lip looking a lot smoother:

After Day 1 here's how she sits:

Yep, going with good $hit

Milano red....

Day 2 to come tomorrow with more pics. Schooling my bro 2nite after work so he can take better pics tomorrow (about 3/4 of the pics he took were blurred to hell)

EBP grill from jic was painted, along with the side skirts and mirrors.

Just kidding bro
....you know I just want it done right
...and I know that is what I'll get. But, I kind of do need it done by the weekend since the Scion is SOLD as of this upcoming saturday
He took 3 pics and yeah 2 were blurred
He said tomorrow is the BIG day. I'm at work until 10pm so I guess I'll see in the thursday morning. ...unless I take it to Wal-Mart and check it out under the xenon parking lot lights when I get home

Sanding down to apply milano red paint:

Even getting inside the gas tank door area

Stopped by on the way to work. Here is what I was able to snap in the few minutes b4 heading on to work:

Still have to cut the bumper by the headlights to align to the 2000 front to 1996 frame. Also, going to fix those fender to bumper gaps / install the Si grill / fog lights. DIY gunmetal CTR lights coming. Going to be wetsanded once everything is aligned and installed.
New wheels & most likely full coilovers to come as well

Thanks to all for the props thus far. I've got to get the Si grill from my buddy still. Paint should be done by wednesday and hopefully have the grill by then.
If I have the grill and paint is fully complete, OEM lights are in, and conversion is lined up nicely..... then I'll 100% be taking her to the meet. If not, then I ride w/ my bro in his Accord
BTW > Is that an OEM lip on my front end?

Yes that is an Oem Si front lip.
I have a question for you, Ive heard through the grapevine that Milano Red is a 3 Stage paint..Thus the Base coat, then a transparent red, then Clear coat.
Is this true?

From the factory Milano red is a tri stage paint. The paint I have was mixed upon purchase and thus just basecoat / clearcoat.
Thanks for identifying the lip.
