what else do i need to buy when i get a longblock?

what else do i need to buy when i get a longblock?
i plan on gettin a gsr longblock from hmo, i figure 1800 and then a 1000 type r tranny is cheaper and will be quicker than spending 3300 for a complete swap. but if i do just get the longblock what else is needed besides the tranny?

sometimes they come with everything and sometimes they dont.
you will have to see what you got on yours to know for sure

for us to know what all you need, we need to know what kind of car you have. If youve already got a car with a B series engine, thatll pretty much be it, but if you have d series or any other besides b, you need a lot of other things as well. Youll need the whole swap from hmo or whatever that sells for 3149. sorry for choppy post, lot of my mind...

Hey buddy...the longblock is the block and the head, so that's 2 of 3 strikes right there. Also, the transmission never comes with any long or shortblock, so you're 0 for 3.

Anyhow. You'll probably need intake and exhaust manifolds, throttle body and - if they're ******** - a distributor. You'll also need the accessories, as most longblocks don't come with any (some come with alternators or PS pumps depending on how they're integrated).

the reason you need the whole swap is because guess what? YOUR D SERIES STUFF DOESNT WORK WITH B SERIES STUFF! people try to help you out but you be a jerk about it. your axles wont work, your shift linkage wont work, your alternator wont, starter wont, clutch, flywheel, ECU none of them will work with what you have right now.
