Need help from some experienced Honda owners.
Hi I am new to the import scene and need some advice, I have been reading through the forums and have learned a ton from you guys, but I have a few specific questions. I plan on getting a 94-96 Accord EX in the next 6 months and I am trying to learn as much as possible from now until I am ready to buy it.
First off I have been reading a lot about doing a engine swap for the H22a, with a boost of 55-75 hp that sounds pretty sweet, but I am a tight budget and only plan on putting about 5k into the car right away. So if you guys could give me your opinion on whether it would be better to go with a higher mileage ie 175k at a few thousand less and then do a engine swap. OR to go with a lower mileage ie 100k in better condition and just put on i/e/h etc.
I don’t want to look/sound like a ricer (no offense, that’s just not me); I like the Accord EX because it is a nice looking, good performing and reliable car with all the features. I need the car for everyday use, not weekend racing, but that HP increase is very very tempting.
Second question is, if I was to do the engine swap, is it a good boost with just the swap, or do you really need to put on aftermarket parts as well. Once again I am on a pretty tight budget, and I am not looking to put 10k into my engine.
Third does anyone know any good shops in the Seattle/Tacoma area where I could go and get this work done? I have a friend who could help me, but I would just like to check around and learn as much as possible.
Thanks in advance for your help.

buy a higher mileage one and get a JDM H22 with the money you save. BTW you won't find many 94-95 Accords with around or less than 100k.
