Default DCRH Noise issue?? How loud is it?

I am planning on buying a header for my rsx-s, but i'm not sure if i want the shorty, or the race version. i know i want the power of the race version, but i'm not sure if i'll hate the noise level of it. I have heard at high rpm's you can hear the air moving, and a little bass. If thats all then i think i'd like it, but i'm keeping factory stock to keep the whole thing quiet.

If anyone can make a sound clip that would help SO much. Thanks for any help.

Well there will be a small amount of noise coming from the header. The air going through the header is no big deal. The noise that will annoy you is the header hitting the front sway bar. DC claims to have fixed the problem, but it is still there. While going in reverse or starting in 1st gear you will hear a little rattle coming from under the car.

This is the sway hitting the header, and or the b-pipe hitting the side of the car. The race header is a bit longer then the stock header and cat. But the minor noise should not bother you one bit. I know it doesnt bother me in my car.

i have the dc race header and the only problem i had was the exhaust hitting the bottom of the right frame rail. mine clears the sway bar and what not. i installed motor mount inserts and fixed the problem. very happy with the sound the header added to the car. high rpm is loud as hell with the apex n1

if you want something that makes good power and is pretty quiet that still has a cat, go with the JDM ITR header. then just get the toda front sway and you should be fine. I have a Mugen intake along with the JDM ITR headers and complete ITR catback. it's quiet and still makes good power.
