ld air intake system

Default Old air intake system

Ok how do u take the old air intake out of a 1996 Dx. I have a new Weapon-R air intake, got it bnd new for 55 shipped. But just need to kno how to take the old one out and put the new one in?

ok well i uncliped the old ait intake think its self took out the the old air filter, but know what do i do, i have the weapon-r put together now im just confused' how to install it do i need to take anothing more off the old intake system off.

ok there are probably a few bolts holding the air filter box inplace, i think they are probably like 12mm or somthing and there are 2 or 3 of them, and then use a flat tip screw driver and under the clamps around the throttle body, and the air filter and unhook the sensor on the arm and the tube.

ok well i cant find the other bolts holding the air filter box in. I jsut got the one the was the eaisest to fnd on the exterior, not under the box at all. Does any one know where the other ones would be???

to the origonal pos(t)er. Take a look at this picture. Notice that parts like #3 and #9. Those are not bolts, but they are holding your airbox inplace.

Theres a clamp around the throttle body holding the filter box on. USE YOUR HEAD! If you can't find all the bolts keep looking! If you cant do this you'r gonna have alot of problems in the future

Yeah thanks well it was the clamp that i was having trouble with i couldnt find the damn screw it was hidden but thanks i got it off really eaisly after i got the clamp off, and i dont care if u give me hell, i probally deserive it lol, but thanks i got the air intake on n everything so it all good thanks for all ya help.

i never got messed with lol, but if you have the weapon r intake take the entire airbox out and everything out of the bumper.
