Distributor problem after the swap, need help!!!!
hello everyone, i have a 92 eg hatch with b18c1 motor swap, the head has been ported and polished with 3 angle valve job, ferra valves, valve springs, titanum retainers, also integra type-r intake cam were installed as well. when we did the swap i replaced new spark plugs, plug wires, new distributor, rotor and cap, it was fine till after 3 months the distributor went out, so i replaced with new one and i drove it for another 3 months and it went out on me again so i had to replaced it again. off course i still didnt think of anything till it went out on me again on last monday, so i took it apart and notice rubbing mark on the rotor cover and the rotor doesnt spin at all, it looks like its stuck. my question is what could be wrong, what is causing the rotor to get stuck, and why is there rubbing mark on the rotor cover? plz help me, im tired of replacing distributor, thanks everyone.
a friend of mine had a problem the engine was getting so hot it was melting the distributor internals that sound like the same problem your having
