Do i even have a chance i/e/h 93 vtec vs stock wrx on the highway
You might on the highway, you figure 200HP with the mods vs 227 for the WRX and you're 200+lbs lighter. AWD means less of those ponies are making it to the ground. If ever you have a chance it's on the highway, the 4G VTEC's are monsters in 4th gear VTEC. It's worth a shot, I don't think you'll get slaughtered in any event (assuming it's stock.)
Well. good luck. I hope you do win, but doesnt the WRX go from 0-60 in under 6 sec? ANd our cars are about 6.7 secs, but you do have mods, so you might have a good chance. I would say go fill up on some racing fuel and race his ***, good luck!
tough call.... those are pretty quick. on the street you have no chance so don't even bother (they run low 14's stock), i don't know about highway though. ludes are pretty fast i can tell you that. i killed a lot cars on the highway with my 95VTEC.
WRX may not be one of them

I think an I/H/E 93 vtec would definately have a chance at killing a stock wrx on the highway...im sure it'd be close though. go and race the dude.

the wrx surprisingle isn't as good a highway racer as the prelude. it starts to lose boost after 5000, where we're just gettin warmed up. it'll be a lot closer than you think.
You guys are too negative! Even if a stock wrx can run low 14's, a stock lude with a good driver can get high 14's. + i/h/e and hope the wrx driver isnt the best and you can take him, or atleast it will be very close
My friend has a yellow WRX and managed to pull out a 14.6 at the tracks. I can tell you, that's a very respectable time for a stock car, turbo or not. WRXs have a lot of perks about them. To be honest though, I think your Prelude will get one top-end on the high-way. I know from experience I've smoked a Z28 top end, so I'm sure you can as well with a WRX

I think on the highway after 130mph, u'll pull away, but it will be a good fight up till 130!

You'll definitely have a good chance on the highway. WRX's only end up putting down around 165 to the wheels. An H22 w/ bolt-ons should be around there. So it'll come down to weight, gearing, & drag.
It's the launch that kills us - and is the reason for the great 0-60 & 1/4 mile times on the WRX.

as much as i would love to see this race, and watch the wrx take on the prelude, i can't believe you are all encouraging this guy to go out and do 130+ miles per hour on a public highway just to see who can go faster and longer. what will happen when one of those two hits oncoming traffic from an onramp? or perhaps a car that decides he/she isn't paying attention and moves into one of the two lanes those two are in?
for everyone's sake i hope none of you kill someone else on the road. perhaps you should plan this little event at a place where there is no other traffic.

true...not to mention cops. me and my friend got in a race with an A4 on the highway, (we won, only because he was a terrible driver) in his accord and got a ticket for doing 91 on an onramp.
