Wheel Hop! What can break, and is something broke?
Sup guys, don't own an ITR but most of the smart people are in here, so I figured I could get more help here.
About a month ago, I got some crazy wheel hop when puttiong the car back into first from second going about 20 mph, I guess I let the clutch out too much and got some really loud wheel hop. No LSD on an Si, I could do that in my friends ITR and no wheel hop occurs. Then yesterday, I noticed that when I get on the gas in first and second and let off the gas in first and second, I can hear a small "cluck" sound on the front driver's side. Almost sounds the same as when your tire goes over the cracks between the pavement. Does anyone know what is broke or if something just came loose? I've jacked it up already and triend to shake the wheel back and forth and I can't find anything wrong. At first I was just thinking that the car needs to be brought to the dealer to get the suspension re-tightened. I skipped the 45,000 mile tune up and suspension tightening was done both on 15,000 and 30,000 mile tune up. I do change the oil every 2,500 miles and adjust valves every 10,000. So, does anyone have any input? Any help on this would be great.

Nope, no drop. Waiting till I get refund back, and try to do suspension(Truchoice or Tein), and JDM FD at one time. Thanks for the input, no drop, but will check on the struts.
my itr clunks when i first hit the brakes after i started it up. typical day. start up car, reverse out of driveway. drive to stop sign. start braking. LOUD clunk. stop. then i dont hear it anymore after that. if anyone know whats wrong help would be appreciated!!

mine goes clunk too... it's just the pads seating against the rotors. they get pushed out a little bit when you go in reverse and don't get pressed back against the rotor until the first time you hit the brakes. nothing to worry about
I would check the spindle nuts that hold the drive shafts to the wheel hub.
I experienced something very similar after a long day at the track. Checked my spindle nuts and noticed that one had loosened slightly (just compare the position of the punch with the slot cut into the drive shaft). If this is loose then the preload on the bearing is off and you are likely experiencing play in the bearing.
Note: I was not able to detect this play when inspecting the wheel assembly. But once I fixed it the problem went away.
Good luck!

Thanks for the tip, will check on that tonight when I get home. I really hope the problem is something this easy to fix and not get too expensive.
Thanks for all the input guys
