Different crankshaft pulleys for D15?

I just got a replacement D15 for my crx. As such, I had to take parts (alternator, transmission, flywheel, crank pulley, etc.) off of the old D15 and put them on the new. Come to find out...the crank pulley doesn't fit on the new engine. There's straight up about an 1/8" of play between the pulley and the shaft.
Does anybody know the story with this? The engine codes are the same, so it seems weird to me that the crankshaft would be a different diameter.

Well, I think I figured it out myself. The engine is from 1988, and apparently 1988 engines had a different pulley and a smaller bolt (12mm). Can anyone confirm this?
