questions on clutch life?
I was wondering how long the average clutch would last in general, i know this depends on how you drive.
some people said "I have 200k on my car and i have the original clutch."
I thought on average you had to change your clutch at 60k. how is this possible that they could go so long with out changing it.
btw i have a 97 auto accord, i was thinking about buying my friends 02 sentra se-r spec v
is manuel better in the long run or is auto better?

From my experience it's totally in how you drive the car. I've had to replace them at 80K and 85K (different cars, of course) but my wife has (dare I say it?) a Cavalier with 114K on the original clutch. I also know that I don't care for hydraulic clutches. Back in the old days, when cables were used, you knew when it was starting to slip and could adjust it a bit. Now, the hydraulics just keep it adjusted up until the clutch is pretty much gone.
