If I make this move, I might regret it one day thats the only thing. My car runs hard and I mean hard. With some custom boost it will run even harder. The only thing is R's will get stolen even if parked in a garage barackaded by pit-bulls. I guess I will need a test drive to convince myself. Any other opinions?
This car will only be driven on the weekends at most, no home to work comutes.

Nah...keep what you got. You got a sick engine in your car. Also, half....or more...of the fun is doing the mods yourself. And like you said, those damn R's are always getting jacked.

Thanks 00silverls for the compliment,
Did you put that 3 inch thermal on yet? Lets take the car to the track and see what it does already LOL. Atco is opened. Let me know if you are down.

keep your GS-R, at that much boost, ITR and GS-R don't make a difference...

not worth it IMO when it comes to insurance and worriying about ITR stolen..

I would keep the GSR and turbo it yourself. Like said above, I think it is much better to do all of the mods yourself.

Thanks for all the compliments fellas. I just got an e-mail from the owner of the car and he said that all it needs is a stand alone to run very very high boost. I will think about this decision today at work, but either way thanks to anybody that put in input.

What does that Type R have? Keep the GSR. Type Rs are better N/A in my opinion.

IMO, if you get it, it'r really be only for the whole "Type R" factor and nothing more considering how nasty you car pulls... so the question is, how much more so would you like to say "I have a Type R" than "I have a GS-R"? If it means that much to you....

It's your decision, but I would go with the R. Depends on the condition of the car though. If you are worried about the R getting stolen then maybe you should invest in a very very nice alarm system. Just my opinion. Good luck and let me know what you choose. Later.

i say keep the GSR and buy the type R...you'll have the best of both worlds...an all motor monster and a boosted monster..

but seriously..i'd keep the GSR..and get it boosted asap..i don't know how long you've known the seller for but you might not know what he's done with that car like redlining 5th everyday or something extreme like that..plus you already know your car is strong off the bat...don't you wanna know how its gonna feel when it sees forced induction?? But good luck with you decision cuz no matter what your not really losing!!

Keep the GSR. Type R makes sense NA, not boosted IMO.
