Default GSR w/ Type-R Exhaust

Looking to pick up a Type R Exhaust and DC 4-2-1 header for my '01 GSR....

Possibly will go FI in the future....

Is this a good exhaust setup for NA and/or FI?

TIA!

If you're going to spend the money i would look for something else besides the type-r exhaust. Its still kinda restrictive but not as restrictive as your GSR exhaust from what ive heard. Especially if you plan on going FI. Are you looking for something really quiet? And if for a header, look in to the jdm dc 4-1. they make a considerable amount of power over the 4-2-1.

i don't think it would be good for F.I. it'll be okay for mild N/A. the exhaust bottlenecks to 2" in some places....

I had one and I couldn't tell any difference. I ended up getting an RSR exhaust from the classified section.

I have an ITR exhaust now and I agree, I can't tell the difference. I try to convince myself that it makes a difference but it don't. I tried so hard to convince myself that now, I hear voices.

No added noise at all. Nice OEM quality, it probably gave a hp or two but I really can't tell the difference to be honest.

For a stock GSR the DC 4-2-1 is pretty good,in dyno charts on a stock GSR the 4-2-1 has the best dyno figures I've seen.Unless your going ITR cams and IM,then thats a different story. Then your geared for high end power.

no exhaust makes noticeable power.....
Some people "think" their car is faster just because it is LOUDER
I have a custom 2.5" pipe with an ITR muffler. I love the "stealth" looks. I could not tell difference in sound between the GSR and ITR mufflers.

Go straight pipe, right from the head gasket. You'll the up high end gains.
