I've decided to KEEP my R and go ahead and sign up for the EXPO '02! (I was thinking of buying something more practical like the WRX and keeping my hybrid for racing only)

May's going to be a busy month car-wise for me.
But I'll know more FOR SURE as soon as Fais (SpeedPak) decides it's time to pay the entry fee for the OTC.

And for all you track (roadcourse) newbies, if you've ever wanted to give something like this a try this is the time and the place, and I say this because we'll all be there to support each other on an off the track (there will be driving instructors, and I'm sure other ITR owners will help with any "mechanical" things that may come up). Though the "mechanical" stuff last year was mostly just related to bleeding brakes, and as far as I know ... everyone drove their cars home in one piece (except for those that trailored them to begin with). /ed

 

{RANT}What really pisses me off is the amount of people who Bitched and Moaned last year that the Expo was out on the West coast.
NOW Its in the center of the damn country and West coast and East coast people arent going, WTF is that all about. For most people its only a days drive, Time to get your asses in gear or THERE WON'T BE ANOTHER EXPO {/RANT}

PS Not pointing fingers at anyone, Just a bit upset with the lack of interest.
My reason for Not making the Expo last year was the fact that most of my engine parts and the rest of my cars parts were on a Boat somewhere in the Pacific on their way from Japan.

What kind of money do you guys think it will cost for the three days?

I'll need to know what the hotels cost, track time and any events that we will be taking part of so I could robb a bank and make sure it has enough money in the vault...

Does anyone have estimates for this venture maybe some quotes from the hotel and track, and what does the local bar charge for a beer?
