In order to have a good head job LOL. You need to know what you are building the car for. If I port a head for a customer, I will do a mild port for an all motor application but if its for serious boost I will port the out of it and get bench flowed. Basically you don't want to open up the ports too much. Get it bench flowed it will tell you how good your head really is.

the car is being built for serious boost.it is a jg pro series head.like i said it was already polished. and ported also.i'm not worried about the porting,it's fine.i just want to know if they were polished up if it would help the flow.

I didn't have mine polished. For the price I paid you'd think they would have done it (and since I asked for it) but I had been waiting too long anyway so I didn't sweat it. Once the exhause ports get carboned up it won't matter anyway

having it polished will help your initial flow. but the minute you run rich and get a thick carbon build up, all that pretty polishing isnt going to do a thing. so in my opinion ........no biggie! SOme one correct me if im wrong please....but i think im on the right track... good luck guy!
