Default Put on new tires in JDM land

Sorry these pictures are a bit fuzzy (phone camera)

A typical tire shop in HK

Hmm I wonder what tires those are

Lets make sure these stiff sidewalls dont rub the fender

Guess the rubber mallet wasnt good enuf

RE55S in 205/50-16. Havent run them in yet, but still very sticky and stable, and in my opinion warms up faster than A048s. I like the feedback through the steering wheel, the ride quality is quite good, and noise level is not bad at all.

Are those R comps?

Either way they look grippy.

I think in Japan they consider them 'S' (sports?) tires...so to us, it's an R comp.

Yeah RE55S, its a semi-slick. Its been raining the last two days, and they definitely feel better than R compounds in the rain. Its got more grooves towards the inside of the tire for water, but the outside edge has larger blocks. Quite an interesting design.

Have a Sony Ericsson phone by the way. Forget the model no tho.
