So I had a couple shitty strut bars on my old 89 Crx Si, just upper front and rear, basically for looks because they are def no namers.

But today when I went to go put them in my 88 Si, neither the front or the rear fit at all..... like not even close, so Im hoping someone can tell me that the 88 just like in suspension is different.....

I was about to purchase some nice complete strut tie bar kits but if there not gonna fit
I aint gonna worry about it

Ill even take measurements tomorrow from the mounting points and pics and all that shitnit, to dark right now

 

 

uh oh. all the strut bars ive seen havent been for a 88 crx or a 89 crx but rather 88-91. maybe u just found out ur frame is bent?

 

Yeah but on both the front and back? and by like an inch? seems like a dam lot, Ive been under my car alot and it doesnt look pretty, but I dunno if anything was bent...

Did you adjust the length of them right?

 

I didnt even touch them, they were removed from my old car, thrown in the garage and I just dug them up to make sure the years were the same. Are they even adjustable? I didnt even look at them for adjustability.... hmmmmm

Should I venture outside @ 6am to the parking lot to check....

 

yeah all strut bars are adjustable unless they are the high end names and they are made specifically made for your car. at the end of the strut bar itself there will be a the thread that connects to bar itself that will extend to whatever legnth you need.
