For the life of me, i cannot get this shock of my g/f's car. This is the rear, passenger side btw. I know i'm supposed to push down on the LCA so that the shock will free up, but there's too much damn tension. There wasn't this much tension on my civic, is there another way i'm supposed to do this? Should i disconnect the upper A arm? Car is a 93 prelude. Thanx

 

Try disconnecting the upper a arm, and unbolt the LCA/shock assembly from the chassis so you can pound the LCA out with a hammer.

wow that looks weird but i worked on a fith gen prelude or whatever gen the last one was anyway i just steped on the lugnuts and push down while some one pulled the shock out anyway u should just take the uper control arm off it is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy easyer for any one wit hondas anyway just smak the top of the knuckle where the upper control arm meets and if that dont work go get a 2 jaw ball joint seperater : ) and put that sob out if is stubborn!!!!!!!!

 

or you could borrow one of those cheap spring compressors from autozone and compress the spring and inc or so and it should come right out
