need help quick....i gotta 95 integra and my fuel gauge doesnt work!!!
i checked the cluster and all the wires inside the car. i checked the tank too. are there any wired under the hood that i would need to check. i heard theres a plug on the manifold thats like a sensor or somethin. when i drive the fuel gauge shows the tank is full and then it goes to empty. someone help.
i hope the fuel gauge does this when you drive. its supposed to use fuel as you drive.
theres an intank sensor called a sending unit, you'll have to check its harness to the guage for continuity then check the unit itself (by removing it from the tank). you'll probably need a new one.
heres what acura says to do: check fuse 15 (10amp) fuse under dash. remove the rear seat and you'll see a circular plastic piece under the butt of the seat with a 3p connector going to it. unplug it, connect dmm on voltage to yellow/white and black/white wire pins turn ignition on and look for 5-8 volts turn ignition off. if you dont get it look for an open or a bad ground. if you do get the volts you can test the gauge by doing this:
w/ ignition off connect jumper wire between the pins w/ the yellow/white and black/white wires. turn ignition on, the fuel gauge should start sweeping toward full, before the guage gets to full disconnect jumper!!! very important, if the indicator reaches full you could damage the guage. if that doesn't work the guage is bad. if it does work, inspect the sending unit.

Make sure you get the right cover. There's one cover, farther forward, for the fuel pump. The gauge sender is sorta at the right-rear of the tank. On my 4-door its more like in the trunk. Towards the right side, way forward on the trunk floor, almost underneath the seat BACK.

Does anyone know what it means if I’m not getting any voltage out of the yellow/white wire from the sending unit connector or the dash connector. I’m getting about 150 ohms. Does that seem to be a short ? I’m rookie when it comes to electrical.
