I did a little homework and found that most people that tried using D series VSS on B series DID work. To make the question more specific Can i use a hydro D series electric vss in my cable B16 tranny to wire up my JDM cluster? Sorry if this has been covered a hundred times. I read all the VSS posts I could but didnt find a straight answer. I got a good deal on a d series vss for 20 bucks that I cant pass up. Also how hard is it to come up with the electric VSS plug if It dosent come with it?

 

yes, because that's what I used...hydro electronic VSS for my cable YS1 tranny to work my JDM cluster.

 

Yup. I used a d series speed sensor out of my friends 92. As far as the harness goes you can try junk yards, or here. I made a WTB thread and got it for $10 shipped.
