I believe 37 is the number you are looking for. The 88-91 cable trannies have 36 splines. I have an 88-91 S1 tranny on my B16A...get a 92-93 cable tranny. I have had nothing but problems with my S1.

y1 is the tranny code on 90-91 LS's s1 is a small spline, jdm y1 is small spline (out of sir crx/civic), jdm j1 is small spline. YS1 is the tranny code on all DA tranny's 92-93 if you dont have the sticker, you're counting splines

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 3.504 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">y1 is the tranny code on 90-91 LS's s1 is a small spline, jdm y1 is small spline (out of sir crx/civic), jdm j1 is small spline. Actually the tranny code on 90-91's is S1 and A1. The Y1 is the JDM only LSD tranny off of the CRX SI-R...don't believe me...

http://www.hondaswap.com/forum...chart

Of course, the chart shows S1, A1 and YS1. In 92 they converted to the YS1...which has a bigger shaft.

Alright thanx for the info.....the code on it is s1 so that means it is the 90-91....He is counting the splines for me right now and measiring the diameter of it and when I order the clutch I will just use that info to make sure it is the correct one......thanx and peace
