sitting uneven
why would my hatch be uneven (the left is lower than the right)? Do any of y'all have experience with this issue, suggestions and help would be much appreciated.

Are you really fat? j/k This may sound like a stupid question, but do you have coilovers on it? If so, it merely needs adjusting (assuming your car isn't corner-weighted or anything). The heaviness of the motor doesn't sound far fetched. That could be it.

nah it did the same thing even before my swap

what did you do to correct it?
my 98 hatch did that on stock suspension. I took it to the dealership and they checked it. I think if the left and right side are within 23mm of each other they consider it to be "within specs" even though it looks fucked up. I guess that it's a normal thing they expect to happen.
Chalk it up to your driver's side always having a "load" on it when it's driven so it settles more than your passeneger side does. Unless you have a twin that drives with you everywhere you go you'll get this I guess. Another thing you could do is to pull the suspension out and swap the left and right assemblies. No need to get a spring compressor or anything. Just swap the whole thing. Shock and springs still assembled.

well if it's 23mm then all of the 23 is used makin my passenger side look whack. Oh so you think that swappin the suspension would really work?< Is that what you did?

I just went and got myself some skunkworks (yep, before they switched their name to Skunk2) coilovers and adjusted 'em that way. But swapping your suspension from left to right should do the trick. It might make your driver's side sit high for a month or so ntil you can squish those down to where the passenger side now sits but it should work out in the end.
