Default How's the damage????

i bought this car for 2500 lastnight. its a 99 dx 70k 5speed, perfect body except for the front...perfect interioer and everything.
Its cold as hell outside right now so i cant really do anything with it.

I have a new set of headlights and a radiator already. The bumper is actually still good. I have a hood and a rad support on order.

What else do you think this car needs? i REALLY want this car driving. I have about 2k to spend to put into it. Do you guys think it'll be cheaper to get the parts then have it towed somewhere to get redone? Car also starts and drives fine, but with a smashed rad i dont want to chance it.

Well enough talking, pictures speak for themselves. So what do you guys think?

there may be frame damage. you might want to get all the frontend parts, then take it to the shop so they can check/fix the frame.

its hard to tell from those pics, but you definitely need a new front core support.

bumper support should be fine if the cover is! that damage aint bad at all! If you can weld all you have to do is weld the new radiator support into place and go from there

thats definetly good to hear man. It obviously slid under something and not into it since everything seems to be waved back, although it didnt go back far enough to hit the header.

The airbags also didnt deploy, witch is great for my pocket.

Any other opinions are appreciated

Are you sure the motor wasnt pushed back towards the firewall? Looks to me like the motor mounts are bent.
Good luck with your project.

I'd take alot of pictures and good ones, not crappy ones you posted, and take them to shops to see if they could give you an estimate.

I guess so, I got my daily drive del sol for $3000 mint, and I got another del sol which has the same type of damage you're looking at here, engine complete, otherwise in good shape, just needs a new rad support, new front bumper, hood work and headlights and I got it for $300 so all im saying is there are better deals and cars even sell on here for $2500 every so often that arent wrecked, but whats done is done, good luck and I suggest following the 99-00 conversion parts idea, you can probably do most of it yourself and get the parts fairly cheap and attain a good look
