well it depends, it really a matter of preference and what your goals are. A supercharged b18c1 usualy a JRSC makes a good amount of torqe at lower rpm's, which is something b series engines lack, and decent top-end power.
Most people would say go with turbo, but your low-end power and tq won't have any major gains, but top-end a turbo can make more power than a supercharger.

if you want more low end power go with a supercharger.
if you want more top end power go with a turbo.

its a b18c1... factory they already have lots of top. if u cant beat something before 120 u don't deserve to win unless its a v8. u have to remember fellow friends. if u don't have LSD, LAG is our traction.

Personally if u do a s/c, i woudln't go with JR. my friend has one on his teg and has had it for about 8 months and already went through 3 belts and now is having boost leaks. on the other hand my other friend has a vortech on his teg and has had no problems what so ever on it and has had it on there for 2 years. My cousin got a vortech put on his gsr with aftercooler and it is just absolutly insane.

by the way accordign to vortech's webpage Increase Horsepower to 278 and torque to 192 ft/lbs. Installation time is 16-21 hours. For a list of components included in this kit click here.

s/c all the way.

its not the installation, theres been several several complaints on the JR. their just not very well engineered.

You should ask yourself how fast you want to go...What do you love more, the Vtec effect or the adrenaline of a turbo/supercharged beast?
In the end, you are the only one who knows what you want, think about it.

and i heard that the turbo kills the sound cuz it spools up at allmost the same time as the vtec would but the SC kinda relaxes when the vtec kicks in sooooo all that aside it comes down to price and the SC is cheaper or

I thought you said you knew allllll about turbos and superchargers? You're going to have to tune the car no matter what.

Ok, I STRONGLY DISagree. I have an LS and low rpm torque is all I got I don't know where you got that from but

Yeah, the B-series, especially the LS motor are noted for their low-end.

TC man....SC are more $$ and less-tunable.

*If you want more low end power go with a supercharger.
*If you want more top end power go with a turbo.

All depends on what you want.

i was totally down for supercharger setup...but did a LOT of research and from joining here back awhile ago...i gained more information. honestly, the jrsc is a nice unit its great for autocross...but turbo is much more efficient...no parasitic loss off the motor...plus youve got many more mvoing parts thana turbo setup which means more likely to go wrong....on top of that...the vortech is a dyno queen...anyone wonder why dynocharts are so hard to find for it? it puts out sick numbers but by the time it makes useful power its time to shift....like someone said before..our car has a lot of top end...just get a smaller turbo with boost by 3k and youre set

i was gonna go turbo on my ls/vtec but like one of the guys on this page said a charger gives u power where u lack. say if u had a ls, u have nothing, a little more low end then the vtec but no high end at all. turbo would b great on a ls. vtec is all high end. with a turbo on a gsr or b16 ur turbo will almost kill ur vtec but with a charger ur motor will will have a hole lot of low end and it will make vtec 10 times stronger and way more noticeable. i just finished my project and with 300 miles on my engine i ordered a jrsc and it has been bolted 2 the engine 4 about 2 weeks. once i hit 1500 miles ill put the belt on and post my track time
