Default BASE AND SH

Guys i need help. I'm trying to get stuff for my car. What is the difference between the base model (what i have) and the SH. I what to know about the header and exhaust factor. I found a good deal on a exhaust, but it's for a Sh model. Will it fit and what about Sh model headers on a base model. And is there a difference in years. Like a 97 model header on a 01. Please help. I called honda but they put me on hold for ten mins.

the header design is different in the base and sh. mainly due to accomodate the ATTS unit and the SH's different front suspension than the base. i don't think changing the header will do much. the stock header is already a good design. you won't get much of a gain changing the header, especially the 99-01 models. the exhaust should fit fine on both models.

Default Header and exhaust

99-01 Preludes use the same header-thus there is really no difference performancewise. If anything you would want the newer header on a 97-98. The Length of the "B-pipe" on an SH is different than that for the Base due to the SH ATTS. If memory and the parts book serve me-the Cat piping is also slightly different. ANyway, the front section of the Base is NOT interchangeable with that of the SH. TO top that off there are no gains by doing so as it is only a few inches of length.

If I'm reading this correctly you are wanting to switch SH parts over to a Base model lude. Is that correct? If so it is a waste of money. You should go to the aftermarket in search of parts, not even the JDM type S parts will yield decent gains for the amount of money you'd have to spend to get them.

NO, i mean, Like a DC header designed for a SH, will it work on base model, not OEM sh parts on a base. This is for Laughin2.2, all you all guys thanks.

DC makes a header for a base model as well, no?
