I know this is proibably a dumb question, but I have a slow but never ending oil leak that seems to be coming from where my tranny and engine meet. I am guessing there is a gasket there that is causing it. So what is the name of the gasket? I am probably going to change it when I pull off my head and get it resurfaced.

r u talking about the rear main oil seal, or just your oil pan gasket?

Sometimes it's just as cheap to order a seal or something from your local dealer. Once you add the shipping and handling charges from ordering online it may even sometimes be a little more. Just a thought.

EDIT - Oh nevermind, your sig says you have a b18 swap.

 

I don't think it is the oil pan gasket. But I would guess that the b18a has a rear main oil seal as well right? I might as well replace both then, just incase?
