Gas Pedal didn't come up.....
Ok the weirdest thing just happened about 10 mins. ago soo I came right here and posted as fast as I could.
I was getting off the belt way onto a street near my house, and I gave it about 80% throttle in second gear till about 6000 rpms and let off the gas and put the clutch in a put it in neutral to roll down the hill.
When I let off the gas, it floored itself all the way? I know that sounds weird, but thats what sounded like it happend.
I dont have a rev limiter b/c of when it was tuned by the original owner, there was never one set since he took it to 9200 and auto-xed some.
ANyway, i watch the rpms needle pretty much bounce allllll around the 9500-10200 range for about 1.5 seconds (once I realized what was going on) and then I tapped the gas pedal and it all stopped.
The car sounds fine, runs fine, strong. So I am assuming everything is fine. I suppose this might of happened because of the extreme cold night, but the car was just rebuilt at the dealership. I have a year warranty on the head work (valves, guides, belts and what not).
I suppose I should take it to them and tell them what happened? Car seems fine thank god. I don;t wanna lose it for another month, free work or not.

Or could be moist frozen throttle cable lines.
See if you can get it to stick again, with the motor OFF, sitting in your driveway/garage with the hood open. Check for anything it might have gotten stick on. If you don't find anything, stick some lube in it and try save your valves next time it happens by doing something to slow the motor (let clutch out/brake, turn key off, something like that)

Well I mean it took me a second to realize what was happening like I said, not more than a second, and I tapped the gas pedal and it came out and the engine went to idle. I tried several times to get it to stick again but it didn't do it.
Tomorrow morning in the light I am going to pop the hood and do a better inspection. Mighta just been the cold. It was washed today....
