Default Pics during Rebuild and After (1st Snow)

Well some people have been asking where I mounted the S2000 start button and the VAFC. Also people wanted some pics of the R during the rebuild and what not, so I just gathered some pics today of some mods that are visable and the R itself.

I also threw in there some pics of the parts replaced and the pistons when the head was at the machine shop. I woulda shown a pic of the THRASHED timing belt, but it got thrown away. To give you a visual though, it was snapped, teeth half ripped off on part and teeth completely ripped off for about 1/4 of it. yea.... it was beaten pretty bad.

PS the 2 valves on the right of the last pic are bran new.

Please excuse the caR being a little dirty inside and out. The roads are covered in salt and its pointless to clean it really well right now. haha you can see the dust in some of the pics.

haha me... no. Whoever was in the timing belt cover last, probably the dealership i bought it from over the summer, they didn't put it back on tight enough.

One of the bolts in the cover fell down in the timing belt, got caught and ripped it all to hell.

Sucks for me.

Thanx for the pics of the S2000 start button. That's excatly where I would've mounted it too. I'll be doing that lil' mod very soon as well as an S2000 antenna. Too bad about the over rev; hope it didn't hurt anything. Good luck with yer car and my she treat you well and vice versa.

haha thanks man. Yea i took a pic of that just for you. Yea I think the over rev didn't hurt anything (knocks on wood). Take some pics of that antenna when you get it on. I would do the same thing, but I am trying to keep the outside stock...aka sleeper lol.

I drove it some more tongiht, it didn't stick anymore, not even when I tore through some gears, getting on it to see what happened. I suppose it is ok. I don't think it revved passed 10k or maybe 10100 before it calmed down. And my engine can probably take that once maybe twice. Hopefully never again though.

yea I am keeping everything i guess. I wish i had the timing belt since that was the main problem but some friends of mine at ashop threw it away cause I left it there by accident when I showed them the box. They didn't know it was mine.... kinda upset me...

And the cable is the hood release, moved to a safer, theft free place. I recommend doin it.

it didn't fall through. It was the bolt on the inside somewhere.

u actually started the car and drove knowing the bolt was down in there? Did you have to replace your valves and guides?

I didn't have a choice if the place I bought it from was a dealership. They do a routine check up of all belts. No one has been in there since I bought the car. So they provided me with a headache and bankruptcy.
