obd0-obd1?
i currently have a b18a in my 90 integra but soon i am gettin a newer b18b1 and i read alot thet there is a obd0 to obd1 conversion involved but when i went to ask my auto teacher he said there is no obd0 there is just obd1 and obd 2 and that my car is odb1 so is there a conversion i will need to do?
also does anyone know where i can get some replacement door panels,i have power windows and my door panels are messed up pretty bad.

Tell your shop teacher he is wrong. Your car is OBD0/Pre obd. Why are you switching your head? The only difference in the b18a'(90-91) and 92+(b18a/b's) is the cams(very minimal at that). Unless you plan to run Uberdata or crome there is no reason to make the obd0-obd1 switch.

Your teacher is confused. You need the following to convert to OBD1:
My OBD0-1 conversion harness
OBD1 distributor
OBD1 ecu
4 Wire O2 sensor
Let me know if you have any more questions or need any more help.

Everyone on Honda-tech that says OBD-0 is wrong.
Your teacher was right as far as that goes... there is/was never an OBD-0.
The very first version of OBD was version 1 - OBD-1.
Everything before that (PGMFI... FI... whatever) was before the OBD so it's pre-OBD.
OBD-0 is just what we call it in short, but it's really not.
Nobody invented a version 0 of OBD.
BUT, like Blown90hatcH wrote, your teacher is dead wrong about the OBD version of your car. Your 90 teg is pre-OBD and not OBD-1.

I've posted about it before also, because it irks the hell out of me when people call it "OBD-0" instead of "pre-OBD" or "non-OBD" or whatever.
Its just like everyone using the wrong f'ing chassis codes. Everyone insists on being lazy and/or ignorant, using the wrong terminology in either some sort of childish defiance or just pure stupidity. Confusion like this is what results.

Okay well since we're on the topic of pre-OBD and OBD-1. I have a question for all you guru Honda ppl out there.
I swapped the engine in my 89Si Hatch with a ZC SOHC V-tec. Kept it pre-OBD, but is it mad hard to just make OBD-1. I still have the OBD-1 manifold, but aside from the dizzy should I just get an entire engine harness from a 92-95 Civic w/V-Tec and adapt it or what can I buy. I'm sorry there is just too much info out there and it gets confusing. I know I can just make a rig up a connection for the V-tec and make it activate, but rahter do it properly or know if it's even worth going to OBD-1.
BTW don't want to jack the thread either.

OBD-1 swap is stupid simple.
Take a look at the reply made by 'Blown90hatcH'.
You get a conversion harness, OBD1 distributor, OBD1 ecu, and a 4 Wire O2 sensor and just hook it up.
You don't need the engine harness... just use yours.

yeah that is the only place I know or heard of that has that jumper harness of the distributor
One of the first to do the K series swap in a CrX also or at least use the HaSport mounts for that
pretty dope

I have the distributor harness, but can never keep them in stock. So many people buy them like hot cakes.

Also w/ your harness you go color for color if you are making the Dizzy conversion yourself. With Locash you must go sensor for sensor(Correct me if I am wrong). JK Harnesses gets
from me.

If you're putting a b18b into your 90 Da no need to covert over to OBD 1. You can use your dizzy from your old motor and the complete intake manifold. If you use the b18b manifold you're gonna have to reroute vacuum lines which is kinda a pain. Non OBD manifolds have tons of vacuum lines. If you need more info PM me, we can talk.
The difference in the motors for b18a and b18b are the cams and the intake manifold.

Just put your dizzy on the new motor use your ecu and your o2 sensor. Would be a lot easier and cheaper to just convert the motor to obd0. I would stick with an obd0 motor. stronger than the obd1.

They are optional. IF you want to run them, probably the easiest way to do it is to solder on the OBD1 injector clips and take the plug at the resistor box and cut it off. Solder those 5 wires together to close the circuit. There are a few options for the injectors, cutting the injector to fit the OBD0 clips, depinning and using the OBd1 distribution plug for the resistor box.

yea just put the a6 injectors in your z6. No additional wiring needed. Yes they're the same size.
