Kit cars are not only legal, they do not have the same OE standards as mass produced automobiles. On top of it, at least in california, they do no have to meet the same EPA standards as a mass market car

Perhaps he had it registered as a race or show car? You can only use those for a certain mileage per year, as far as I know.
There is someone in Washington who uses the Atom every day.

Its funny seeing that because up until about 6 months ago i spent about 1 1/2 years designing a car similar to that. differences being that i was planning on covering the body with carbon fiber (yes i do carbon work) and i wanted to use a K20 Turbo with around 340 or 350 hp. and only a 1 seater.
I sooo want one of those...

Yehh good ole Super 7, that damn thing kicked my *** so many times in sega GT, what a **** off....
However when i got the super 7 in the game it sucked *****.....it was fast as hell on the 1/4 mile though....the atom is the opposite....
According to caterhams websites the fastest super 7 is about right on par in 0-60 as the atom and it costs almost the same. 31,000 pounds for the super 7 and 35,000 pounds for the atom....
