removing auto tranny
i dunno, maybe i'm blind, but i can't find the section that tells you how to remove an auto tranny in my online helms manual.
the transmission is dead. i need to remove the automatic transmission shift cable from the automatic transmission so that i can swap in a working automatic transmission. i'm tempted to just cut it, but i don't want to buy a new cable. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

well, it turns out that the helms manual that i got was missing the section for the automatic tranny removal. i got the missing part and removed everything except for the speedometer cable that hooks up to the rear of the tranny. anyone know how to remove it? thanks.
just get a flat head screw driver and pry that thing out once you have the 10 mm bolt remoed along with the piece of metal that keeps the sensor in, stick the flathead into the part that the piece of metal goes into and get leverage to pull it out and up.
