Yes, because you end up paying an extra 1000-1500 to get the fiberglass to look anything like the metal one will, then comes a small accident and bam there goes your fiberglass front end

OEM Metal

Get the metal, it'll save you a lot of trouble later on.

That and over time the f/glass will crack because of vibration, rock chips etc. If you aren't going with metal I wouldn't do it at all.

Not really sure what everyone's issue is about fiberglass, but it all boils down to quality. There's nothing wrong with fiberglass as a body panel. Anything that destroys a fiberglass bumper is going to destroy a metal one. As for minor incidents, bodyshops can fix fiberglass pretty easily. Metal.... just keep slapping on the bondo.

So... it all boils down to the quality of the starting product. If metal = oem, and fiberglass = lesser quality aftermarket, then you have your answer. If the aftermarket fiberglass is good, I'd personally go that way.

BUT since I really don't care about JDM front ends, this is all quite pointless to me.

A JDM Poly bumper won't break up like a Fiberglass bumper will. Then you have the OE metal fenders to compare to fiberglass fenders. Hands down on this entire topic. There is no comparison on this. Don't try to cheap out on a front end. You'll end up spending more in the long run!! I've personally seen fiberglass JDM kits on Integra's. As I was shaking my head, I wasn't impress at all on the quality and fitment. If it was just a fiberglass front lip, go ahead, it's just a lip, but not your entire bumper, hood and fenders.
