on the inside of my Sprint Harts, it has SSR stamped, and Speed Star on the description sticker.

I was looking at Watanabe's and they also also SSR. I have a funny feeling Black Racing are also SSR.

Reason Im asking is because I have Enkei rims that are<U>almost </U> identical to Sprint CP's (not CP-R's). Since Sprint is using SSR castings, i wonder if Enkei is also doing the same thing.

you have to keep in mind that japan is really small when it comes to size so in some cases rim manufactures will contract out companies to make their wheels for them. i.e mugen is manufactured by o.z
advans or manufactured by enkei
an so on

 

The people who own SSR probably own all these company's also.

 

SSR presses wheels for other companies like hart and hiro, that didn't or do not have the machinery to do it themselves, as a matter of fact, many of the wheel companies in japan as well as here in the us do this. companies will design a wheel and find a wheel company that can produce them. enkei does make some of the oem honda wheels. the after market wheel market is only a small part of a wheel companies business, they make a lot more money on the manufactering of oem wheels for car companies. hope this helps.

Black Racing is distributed by AKT which is known to be taken over by 5Zigen USA.

enkei makes the majority of alloy road wheels for honda

You're right. I should just stick with wheels that are lighter, better looking, more expensive and not mAd T1t3 cool cause they're super-JDM. (Admittedly, TE37s are "JDM", but not ultra trendy).
