i put a y8 alternator on my d15b7 after it started squealing on wet/cold days and start-ups, i got it for $35 at a junkyard so i figured what the hey, might as well try it since i'm only losing $35 if it doesnt work... it bolts right in like it came that way and works perfect. go for it.
