Default would this i/c be to big for the greddy sohc vtec turbo kit

: Core: 30" wide X 5" tall X 2" deep End tanks are 5.5" tall X 3.25 deep 2.5" OD piping X 2.5" long This intercooler measures 33.75" from outside of end tank to outside of end tank

greddy sohc vtec kit boost at 5.5 out the box i plan to keep it 5.5 with the i/c

no its perfect, its a small unit.its not like it's a supra intercooler or any thing.i amagine if you cut a dsm intercooler in half and set it side by side the jrc would be slightly longer.

At only 5psi you would make more power with no intercooler or with something smaller..Like dsm sidemount,,

Although with that intercooler you'll always have room for improvement without having to buy another ..And its safe..

Can you just turn up the boost if it drops too much?

Dsm side mounts do not fit they hang wayyyy to low,

turning up the boost probably would get rid of the lag but like i said i want to stay at the 5.5 psi the kit boost at

the reason im getting this i/c cuase its real cheap

its a johnny race car intercooler,

i dont know about running no i/c i was thinking of running no i/c but foudn this cheap intercooler

and heard they arent so bad.

should i just run no i/c?

my dsm sidemount IC fits fine, i had to modify it however and remove the tow hook on passengerside.

I'm not too sure about that.... I would bet that you would see an increase with the JRC intercooler over the non-intercooled setup...

In theory you should be able to make more power even if the pressure drops a bit because the intake charge will be much colder...

A while ago I read a magazine article in which they dynod the stock Greddy kit and then added the Greddy FMIC, which has a much larger internal volume than the JRC, there was a slight drop in intake pressure but over a 15whp increase... more horsepower at lower boost with safer intake temps... sounds like a good investment to me
