h22 in a crx
It can be done deffinately. Ever see the L'Natural CRX? Also there is a girl in Birmingham Al, who has a CRX with an H22 turbocharged. I believe she runs somewhere in the area of 12's on street tires. Expect to spend quite a few dollars on custom parts, and weight distribution is biased a lot towards the front, even more so than the EG/H22 swap.
I agree with H22Si.... the weight is far greater than any other motor out there.... the H22 is one of the heaviest motors honda has come out with. It's got amazing power but it's really hard to make it streetable in a CRX.... the short wheel base makes for massive amounts of understeer unless you spend a fortune on front suspension and good tires. It's a straight line monster, but in the twisties you've sacrificed power for light weight. If you're looking for a good all around motor for the CRX the H22 is not it... go with something lighter like a b16 or even a b18. But you can't beat the H22 for power.
Hope this helps.

Find yourself a copy of the Fall 2001 Honda Tuning magazine and you will find a 6 page article on a drag CRX with the H22a that runs a 10.68@129.8mph N/A!!!! Hope that answers your question

Where is this turbo h22a in the crx?? Where does the car run?? You understand there is no mount kit Available to install a h22 in a 88-91 chasis. Everything would be a custom fab on it. Although it is possible to achieve this i would like to see it first. As far as 12 on street tires in a rex with h22a turbo it better be low 12's on radials . I myself have a crx drag chasis me and couple of my freinds have been working on for quite sometime now. it is b series and turbo all fiberglass front ,fiberglass doors, lexan , ten point cage, sheet metal dash,As far as the 12's on radials my 1994 integra weighs 2650 with me in it and i run 13.0 at 111mph on drag radials. If this is a true statement then we would like to see the car run at track.
Bham? Hmmm... never seen or heard of this.
And the H22A is only 80 lbs or so heavier. It's just a ricer myth that they weigh the car down to the point of stupid handling. The only thing you might have trouble with is suspension and room to work.

But thats because my friends hatch is still on stock suspension and on 17's
I heard that the oil pan hangs really low with the H22 in a crx swap. Maybe the mount kits they have now change this, but I know before you couldn't have a substantially lowered crx with the H22 in there. Anyone else heard of this problem before?
Yes it is low 12's on street radials, it isn't a drag car, it's some 17-18 year old girls daily driver that I guess daddy paid for. I saw her run a '94 RX7 on the freeway and she pretty much blistered his ***! haha. I never talked to her personally but from the looks of it it's simply a fast *** freeway car.
