what size is the collector on the dc 4-1? i think you should be making a little more power with that setup, and i've heard that some dc headers run small collectors

I agree, it did pick up a good amount of torque, the motor is still internally stock correct? (cams, etc.)

This is the original DC Sports 4-1 header. It does not have the 2 1/2" collector on it. Yes the engine is completely stock internally. I did this to get a good base map for the Hondata S200 and see what the gains will be for when I do the build.

looks nice but its not that much more over mine with i/h/e chipped p28....... 176whp/126tq

i would be dissapointed if i only got that lil of a gain for spending that much money ...... but its nice that youre building another engine so they can really breath!

hmmm...not sure what I think about this. if you are planning to build the hell out of the car then fine. otherwise, I dont see much point in those when simple bolt ons and a vafc can get you to the same power numbers. get some big cams and compression in there and the numbers should jump up nicely.

one thing that i think isnt shown on the graph, would be power delivery, i image throttle response would be instant, and the motor itself would be very free spirited. As for the actual numbers

Lol. What a combination of statements. They make no sense.

With all that money and time spend you should fix that awful vtec engagement spike. That should really not be there.. you are definitely robbing yourself of midrange tq and a smooth tq and hp curve.

He wants it because it looks real nice.

Oh, and yeah, I don't want anything ITB.

p.s. he's working on the VTEC spike, etc... getting a baseline map for Hondata.

I actually made this setup myself with the Earl's Hoses and fittings. The 12mm - AN fitting for the filter came from another AN fitting company.

No... I found no sense to do so since it was only running onthe P73 ECU

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Project SSAP1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">ncie gains...i bet with a more free flowing header and exhaust you could make more power...</TD></TR></TABLE>

Here at R&D Auto we are actually interested in making a specialized header for the ITR application. It would be able to be used on at B16 aswell. We have a header for a H22 in an EG setup that produces 13 more whp over the DC Sports.

Yes these #'s are lower since this '96 Spec ITR engine has been ran hard and is startig to loose compression. Before tuning with the TWM ITBs she was only a poor 205 in each cylender on average This is the definate partial reason for the lower #'s. This engine is still completely stock internally and has never been touch.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Chronicsinners &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">one thing that i think isnt shown on the graph, would be power delivery, i image throttle response would be instant, and the motor itself would be very free spirited. Yes this engine has excellent throttle response and leaves nothing for the imagination. The OEM cams are being completely utilized and will not produce anymore power

Yeah this is all for a good base map for the build that is happening this year. No sense in not having something to start with. I really didn't want to go threw the hassel of trying to burn up a fresh build of tuning. More to come soon....

I think you're wrong, there are a lot of people dynoing as much as you with stock cams and 1/2 the work you have done.

Not too bad of gains. With some more mods, you will be well over 200 wheel the way it looks.

Sooo this is gonna sound dumb, but you don't need an intake when you have ITB's?
