Default question about exhaust

Hey guys I'm new here and have a question to ask. I've been browsing online for a good reliable cat-back exhaust system and honestly I don't know enough about each brand to make a decision so i was wondering if you guys could help me out. I have a 2001 accord ex coupe F23A1 I-4 ( i know i should of gotten the V-6, but it still has some pick-up for a 2.3 ) anyways, Plz leave me some suggestions. Thx guys and I appreciate it.

what exactly are you looking for in an exhaust? for a basic exhaust i suggest anything from Greddy....cant go wrong with greddy. i suggest customizing your own system to create your own sound, just search mang

Apex'i WS 2 is way below legal decibel limit, hs a cleaner, OE style look....most people will say Apex'i, then GReddy, or throw in your own system (i'd pick magnaflow for a muffler).

I must say though my Apex'i WS has a lower growl and most ricey exhausts have that blat....it def sounds meaner on my F23...

nicely put, magnaflow is prob the best muffler you could get for custom exhausts. plus custom exhausts are cheaper than 600 exhaust kits. lets break it down

muffler cost about 200 or 100 if used. in my local muffler shop they made me a full 2.5 stainless for 140. and resonator was 50 bux plus install. so all together MY set-up cost 340 plus carsound cat. not too bad.

Even better I used 'Performance Peddler' on eBay and picked up a good 2.5" magnaflow Stainless Steel muffler with no tip (more of a stock look) for 59 SHIPPED I highly recommend them. Pick out a magnaflow muffler from magnaflow.com, then email them asking them about pricing on the particular model you chose and I bet you the prices will be NUTS.

Kteller.com here on HT does custom exhaust piping, and local muffler shops that have a manderel bend will do it. ALWAYS GET A MANDREL BENT exhaust, or youll lose some of the performance gains in the crimping.

Expect to pay 100-300 for custom piping, about 100 for a magnaflow muffler (if you want a tip), 100 for resonator (performance peddler sells those too), and 100 for a cat if you need it replaced. And those are VERRRRRY Pessimistic figures.
