I have Toda B's, and I set the VTEC to come on at 6200rpms, and disengage at 5800rpms.

easy way to set it on the street is to put it where you cant feel the transition

Dino, I'm at 6950...cam gears at +5 IN, -5 EX, it was at 7450 with gears at +3.5 IN, +1 EX, changing the gears allowed me to move the limit lower, anything lower and there was a significant dip in the curve. Lawrence and I played for about 1 1/2 hours last time trying various combinations.

Mine is set at 5900 ...but anything less than that and you'll be wasteing your time on the dyno perhaps..

A 300rpm delta from H to L works best.

Best transition point I had was throwing them in a lake and putting my Spec A's back in.

I may have the highest b-series x-over known to man (most cars don't rev as high as my VTEC x-over)...

7300 (redline isn't much higher 9100).

anything lower there is too much dip on dyno. at 7300 it's very smooth, (you can hear the change though).

.....doesn't sound too crazy to me. I've seen everything from 5800-7200, so 7300 sounds ok... You don't fall out of vtec at all? I'd expect 9500-10k rev limiter tho'.....

Traded them to Jared for a set of Spec A's.
Jared is letting Josh use them in the 86mm LS/VTEC.
Ask Josh..

But remember Mike, I know you. You will NOT like the Spec B's. Plus, see how linear your is right now?
Compare it to other ITR's w/ the same mods and B's. LOL.

here is a link to my dyno: http://www.clubsi.com/dyno_minh_1.shtml

you can also go to <gasp!> clubsi.com and go under "dyno" and under "allmotor" and click "Minh's Dyno 1 (Toda B)"

I didn't know you were suppost to put the VTEC x-over that high up! I had mine at 6K when I had the B's in... could I have made more power w/a higher switch over, or is that just to keep the transition smooth?

ummm.. yea.

anyway, since you're in FL.. instead of taking I-95 home, you should take I-75. this will only make your entire road trip like 1.5hrs longer...
i can show you what some JUN cams can do.
i've already converted many toda fans.

IM me and I'll give u my cell number.

oh no mike
your not gonna start with the Jun vs Toda thing again
BTW what kinda settings are you getting good results with Jun 3s
I have been playing around with a few combos with ok results
what I do know is the skunk prog is too rich...now I have the Jun prog
switchover is smooth without the vtec flutter they were known to have.
and at 7 grand the fun really begins...
what is a good x over? Im at 5700 with h/l at 5400
any thoughts?
