Bondo where the sideskirts go suggestions photos of damage

I was looking over the car I just got and at the front driver side area near where the mud flap should be there is a bit of bondo. It looks like the car jumped a curb or something and the sideskirt area got busted up. I would like to remove this bondo so I can put side skirts on the car and do a better repair job. I am good with fiberglass and fiberglass cloth stuff they use on surfboards. I am thinking I should remove this sloppy bondo job sand the area down and repair it with some strong but thin fiberglass and fiberglass cloth and then hopefully that will allow me to install sideskirts. This is far from a show car its my daily driver but I would like it to look as nice as possible without spending a grip of money on it. Does anyone have any experience doing this or have any suggestions? Should I try and fix this myself or should I find a body shop who can fix it with sheet metal or smoothing?

I would cut that peice out and re weld some metal in there. Its not a big area. But if you are good with fiberglass then go for it.
hey man i recommend trying it on your own and see how well it will turn out the worst thing that could happen is it might not look the way you want it to look , or it might look great. Try doing it yourself and if it doesnt work out then take it a shop, this way you could save some money.

Yeah I am pretty confident with real fiberglass I used to repair surfboards and you have to do a perfect job. How flush does it need to be for sideskirts to fit on?
Another thing I noticed is the floor that you can see in the second photo is bent up a bit. Seriously looks like they went right over a curb or something. I knocked around on it and looked underneath seems solid so hopefully its not something that I need to fix. If that needs to get fixed then I guess I would need to cut the area out and then have a body shop weld a piece of sheet metal over it. I had this jeep one time that had a rusted out floor. I ended up having some guy make a floor out of sheet metal and it turned out pretty good. This is not nearly as bad but if anything I can fix it the same way. What do you all think about the floor? It seems solid so should I leave it or should I get it fixed?

Seems solid - only reason I noticed it is because I was looking at the side skirt area.
