Default AEM EMS/Type R immobilizer

Does anyone know if using the EMS will eliminate the immobilizer found in the 2000 Type R ecu? I know that not using the ecu will eliminate it of course, but is there no way to get it back if you use the AEM EMS? Please help. Hope the question makes sense. Thanks.

AEM EMS = No Immobolizer.

They just don't feel it's a feature worth investing time and money on for a "Race Only" setup.

That's too bad. Now the risk of the car getting stolen is much greater. I thought it wouldn't have it. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

just take the aem out with you where ever you go... i know it'd take a damn smart theif to get my car running with 903injectors on a stock ecu

Ya...it's a pain having to pull the ECU in and out each time, but that's the nature of the beast since the EMS caters more to true racers.

I'll probably have to do that. With my luck, I'll then get robbed and the EMS will be stolen.
