What's the usual ammount?
Is there holes going through it?
Is it just on the surface?

Is it on the front fenders, doors, rear fenders... where?

The amount is about the size of a softball in diameter
Holes are going through, its layers of rust, and if i poked it, it would go through
Rear quarter panels abover the wheel...

I would think it needs cut out, and a new peice of metal welded in...

It will be alot cheaper just to get new quarter panels and get those welded in and painted. With that must rust, even with new metal welded in, it will come back eventually.

How would it come back with new metal welded in? wouldnt that be the same as cuting up a qtr panel and welding it into mine?

Cancer goes for about $2-7 a pack depending on where you live.

Screw replacing the stock steel again. The guy I had to mine just cut the old **** off and welded new steel on, and then put a fiberglass/bondo mix over it. It will never rust again

Do not use bondo or fiberglass in place of metal..

You put bondo ontop of metal in the high/low spots..not in place of metal..Personally I would only use lead instead of bondo..

Get new 1/4 panels if you plan on keepin the car for a while..Chances are if theres rust on top its underneath also,,
Also make sure you use expoxy primer as a base..It will keep the metal protected alot better then rust inhibitor or primer..

Now if you dont wanna spend that kind of money then try and find a rust free car..
