Default bought a 92 civic cx hatch w/ a obd1 b18c1...where the hell is the 16 pin connector for scanning

like the title says, i'm throwing codes that aren't listed anywhere.
it says i'm throwing a code 27...? i looked under the dash on drivers side for the 16 pin connector and its no where to be found.......is it because its a canadian model.......by the way, the motor was in there when i bought it.

right where your ecu is mounted, you should see a blue plug, with 2 wires connected to it, back pin that run a wire from one pin in that plug to the other, then read the codes it throws the cel will blink itself. 1 long blink is 10, short blink is 1. just read what it tells you.

haha, you answered your own question......

only OBD2 equipped vehicles have the certain standardized 16 pin connector you are looking for. All your car has is a simple jumper plug located under the dash above your ECU / PCM......you just take a wire/paperclip/anything conductive and stick it between the two sockets and retrieve your codes from your CEL. The plug is recessed in a little green (or blue, I forget) rubber holder alond with another plug. You need to jump the one with two wires and all of your CEL (check engine light) woes will be solved
