vtec cross over

Default vtec cross over

I'v got a b16a and the vtec cross over is weak, I know peolpe with the same motor and theres hits harder the mine. What can I do?

as long as you're vtec is engaging, its fine.

but you can put a intake, bigger tb and port match the IM and get a good valvetrain, it should scream.

what do u mean by "hits harder"? like a sudden jerk when vtec crosses over? i read from somewhere that a smooth trasition during crossover is best.

hahaha stop trying to make your car as fast as mine. it wont work. and yeah, other peopls vtec "pops" louder then his. even my stock si's .

If your car was tuned to the optimum, you shouldn't notive the VTEC crossover. The switch from low to high cam profile should be set where the power levels of the two meet afaik

If you feel a large difference when the vtec mechanism engages then your car is poorly tuned. If it is more smooth, either it is tuned well or everything is poorly tuned.

GET A VTEC SOLENOID FROM THE DEALER I DID MINES POP HARDER THEN IT USE TO COULD BE UR PROB TYPE R SOLENIOD SHOULD WORK
