jdm ef corners fit on usdm crx?
being offered a deal on real jdm clear corners. will the original jdm stanley clear corners fit in the udm fender or do i need the front end conversion to use them?
Well i have an 88 hf and i used the jdm corners on my us fenders i just had to purchase clips that you clip on fenders so the jdm corners can slide onto.. no screws needed.
88-89 JDM fits 88-89 USDM
90-91 JDM fits 90-91 USDM
Simple as that. 88-89 uses two screws to mount the corners, 90-91 are clip types.

im aware of how it goes and what to use and what is differnet, but like i said, i have a 91 and my VT corners are not fitting the stock headlights...
the vt corners are edm, as to my understanding. the vt are similar to the jdm sir headlights in which they are a little bit longer except that they are glass, to use vt corners you will need the vt headlight as well as the whole conversion. now if it was a 16v edm corners then that wouldnt be a problem. but hey if you have any hook ups on those edm vt corners/ headlights let me know im looking for some myself.

Yeah I think the sir/vt corners are a bit longer cause my sir corners sit right up against the sir headlight (almost gives it a 1 piece headlight look) unlike when I had my stock corners with my stock headlights when there was a little bit of a gap. SO you might have to shave off a bit ot upgrade to a sir/vt front.
You realize that JDM/EDM corners are completely different then USDM models... Not just the corners the entire front end... If you were to install the JDM corners you would have to have the JDM front bumper.. THe JDM corners wrap around the side of the bumper whereas the USDM are only seen from the front.. In order to fit the JDM bumper on you need the JDM lights and JDM hood. As well as fenders... Pretty much you would have to convert your entire car to a JDM front end..

Your talking about the amber bumper lights we are talking about the clear corner lights next to the headlights.

If you can't get the JDM/EDM corners to fit with your USDM headlights, it's because the mounts/fender are tweaked. It's not the cornerlamps themselves. I have EF9 cornerlamps on my ED6 and they fit the same as stock and aftermarket clears.

Yeah just don't use the turn signal one so you wil just have 1 running light on unless you want it to flash then hook in the one that flashes. Whatever one you dont use just have it hang inside the fender just be sure to remove the bulb.

Wow, this is an old thread with "so" much miss information
Let me start by saying the both the jdm SiR and the edm VT corners are the same part. They are a 90-91 style corner lens, which can be retro styled to an 88-89 car with the proper mount hardware.......and yes, they will fit 100% onto usdm 90-91 front ends.
The biggest difference on them besides them being all clear, is that they use only one 194 wedge bulb in the corner, then the other wire goes to a side marker in the fender. USDM corners are both clear/amber, and have two 194 wedge bulbs to light up each color
