Default 99-00 OEM Honda Cd Player

I am looking for a solution to my problem and i am thinking that the single cd player that came in the 99-00 civics is the solution. Problem: I have a 98 civic ex (factory cd player + factory keyless). I installed an aftermarket headunit long ago and was able to keep my factory keyless using the special harness and stashing the oem radio in the dash. My keyless recently stopped working (i checked all of my wiring-no dice) and i am looking for a solution to that. I am interested in getting a 99-00 oem civic cd player. A few questions: will my factory harness plug into this head unit? will i need anything other than this unit for my keyless entry? is there any way i can make it work? thank you

Alex

the 99 and up does not have the keyless receiver unit built into the radio. Not to mention the plugs are different.

It was in 97/98 that Honda/Acura started changing the radio harness plug, by 99 they were all the new style, but thats no biggy, Metra makes a 70-xxxx adpt harness that plugs into your car and a 71-xxxx harness that plugs into the 99 HU just wire them together and plug and play 94
