Also look at the valve cover 10mm nut grommets, theyre chrome on all the ITR motors, his are black.

The motor also has the charactaristic lime-like residue on the block and face of the trans (seen that on a LOT of JDM motors).

I asked the seller why its missing the VIN.

 

How come there are two different shift ***** on there?

 

That vin is not for the motor it's for the tranny.

Mine doesn't have it either bacause of a warranty replacement.

 

That Ebay ad is so wrong on so many levels.

 

notice how the tranny and the block dosnt match.. that means one or the other was replaced.

the front end splash guards are also are hanging down and fucked up... that cars odometer was def. turned back.

It's just aluminum typical oxidization.

Car has more wear than it should - but you guys are making it out to be 100k mile like wear - when it isn't.

It's quite possible the owner didn't vaseline his entire car down like most Type R owners do.

 

My engine bay looked like that with 25K miles, just because it was in Pittsburgh, salt capital of the nation. Beyond that though, everything does seem a little fishy. And why would a stock car fail emissions, anyone catch that?

i caught that. Sounds a little weird to me.. Someone should email this guy with all of our calaberated assessments. haha
